Warfighter Basic Rifle/Pistol Course
The Warfighter Basic Rifle/Pistol Course will cover fundamentals of combat rifle and pistol marksmanship and is designed to improve and enhance basic shooter skills. Shooters should have basic weapons handling skills acquired and ready to improve their shooting techniques. Select shooting evolutions will challenge shooters to successfully engage targets while under stress. Listed below are some of the topics that will be presented. Prerequisites: This is not for first time shooters. Prerequisite for this course, shooters must have completed Warfighter Basic Pistol and Rifle courses or equivalent.

– Fundamentals of Marksmanship
– Weapons Retention
– External Ballistics
– Transitions
– Zeroing
– Basic Position Shooting
– Malfunction Definition and Clearance

Ammunition Requirements: 550 Rounds Rifle and 400 Rounds of Pistol
All rules stated in the HTC range operations briefing documents to include signage and posters will be upheld to the highest of standards. All pertinent rules set forth by HTC will be briefed at the beginning of each training day to remind shooters.
